00:01: In this video I'm going to walk you through the steps to purchase a phone number and grow 00:06: From the phone number screen in the top right you'll see a button called add number we're going to click here 00:15: After you click the add number button you should see several options you're just looking for the add phone number It's usually the first tab 00:25: Once this screen appears you're going to click the country and then we want to add a filter 00:31: In the middle search bar type the first three digits of the area code of the phone number you want to search 00:39: Directly to the right of the search bar you'll see a match to we're going to head here next 00:46: From the list of the options on the dropdown select first part of the number 00:51: Make sure all of the capabilities are checked off and then hit apply 00:57: From the list of available capabilities you want to see these three images this particular image here says that the phone number you searched has the ability to make and receive voice calls 01:09: This image here means that you can send and receive SMS or text messages with your new phone 01:16: The last image MMS refers to your ability to send images with your new phone number 01:24: Once you found a phone number that you like that has all three capabilities select it with the little circle here 01:32: After you select the phone number you want click the proceed to buy button in the bottom right for some you might have two Factor authentication turned on or OTP which is over the phone verification with your credit card company that'll send you a text to verify the charge 01:48: After purchase you'll be brought back to the main screen where you see your phone number in the list like this if you see a blue add button go ahead and click it for some it may not be an option it might already be there but if you see the blue button go ahead and push it 02:02: Now we're going to configure your phone number to be able to take incoming calls so click the three do 02:08: Now select edit and configuration from the drop-down 02:12: You may select any of the options above so go ahead and select those and configure those to your needs we want to make sure though that we have the incoming call timeout selected right here 02:25: We want to fill this box with 60 you have the option to do from zero to 60 this means that incoming calls will automatically time out or push to voicemail usually say 60 typically you're phones voicemail will automatically pick this up prior so don't go anything less than 20 02:45: Now for the outgoing this will mean how long does a timeout before it hangs up or says it's not available to make the phone call so I usually recommend selecting here and adding a 60 second as well 03:01: Now this search bar here will allow you to add all of your staff members you want to receive these phone calls essentially it'll be a round robin who's ever the first one to answer will answer the call for some of you you might not have your full staff in grow yet so you might only have one person to select here you can always come back to this configuration later 03:22: This is for inbound calls and who's phone the calls will route to. NOTE: If you do not have staff added yet, the staff members names will not be on this list. 03:25: Now click save and your phone number is all configured great job
